LEAD COVID-19
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
FACTS

As your photographers, we are committed to supporting you and your best interests.  If your wedding is happening in 2020 this year, as scheduled, we will be in close communication with you to settle all the details and maintain Minnesota State laws, while also providing wonderful images and memories for you along the way.

Many are experiencing the  “wait and see”  right now, and that’s okay.  We’re all living life day-by-day as this situation unfolds, and major life events and scheduling may be on a temporary hiatus.

For current couples, we want to make sure we keep in touch.  If you make significant changes that affect your date or location please let Kelly know right away so she can adjust the Amore calandar to fit your needs.  If you want guidance on planning we are here for you.

THINKING OF POSTPONING
YOUR WEDDING?

First of all, give space to your emotions.  It’s okay to pause and allow yourself to grieve for the plans you had.

Once you’re ready to move forward with rescheduling, have a talk together as a couple about what you both want.  Make purposeful decisions based on the goals you have for your marriage.  The best plan is the one that feels right to both of you.

WHO DO WE CONTACT FIRST
IF WE POSTPONE?

If you have wedding insurance or a wedding planner these are the first professionals you should contact.  If you don’t have these professionals contact your venue coordinator and your photographers first.  They likely helped you with your wedding plans.  They can help you make new plans now.

If the idea of re-planning your wedding brings unbearable stress, find someone to support you through it.   We are happy to be there for you or give you referrals to dedicated wedding planners who can be this person.

PHOTOGRAPHY OPTIONS
WHEN POSTPONING
YOUR WEDDING
DURING COVID-19.

We fully support the decision you make in regards to postponing and rescheduling.  Here’s how we can help you:

  • There are no rebooking fees for rescheduling your wedding date.

  • You can transfer your retainer and package to a new date.

  • We can photograph your elopement as long as it’s allowed and safe, as well as a later date reception, should the state allow.

  • If you have already signed a contract with us, a POSTPONEMENT addendum will need to be signed, should you choose to postpone or reschedule your wedding day. Kelly can send this to you once you know the new date.

Things to consider:

  • Eloping with a gathering or reception later: We can adjust your photography plan to include an elopement now and photography at a later date for your celebration with family and friends.

  • Unsure of your new wedding date: We can give you a signed agreement stating your retainer will transfer when we mutually agree on a new date.

  • Payment Plans:  I know this is a tough time for most people.  If you’re worried about how it will affect your photography let’s talk and come up with a solution.  Your well being is our priority, and we still want to be your photographers.

NEW COUPLES
THINKING OF BOOKING
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY:

  • Instead of an in-person meeting, we will have a video chat or phone call.

  • You still need a non-refundable retainer to reserve your date (even if it ends up being rescheduled later down the road).

  • You still need to sign an online wedding agreement that includes our flexible policies for cancelation and postponement.

  • These are the same things you need to book with us at any other time.

YOUR SAFETY
IS OUR
GREATEST CONCERN!

Once photography sessions can resume these plans will be in place with your safety in mind:

  • Social Distancing:  We will follow all guidelines for social distancing by keeping at least 6 feet between ourselves and clients.  We will be using a telephoto (zoom) lens to accomplish this.

  • Posing:  Photography sessions will be no-contact, which means we will guide you from a safe distance on how to pose.

  • Facemasks:  At all shoots, including weddings, we will wear a facemask if guidelines recommend this.

  • Sanitizing gear:  We will clean our gear before and after each session or wedding. We will use cleaners appropriate and safe for our gear.

  • Handwashing: We will continue to use the best handwashing practices as recommended by the CDC.

Timing of shoots:  As an additional precaution we will not schedule large blocks of time for multiple portrait sessions back-to-back at one location.  This is to prevent locations used for photography from having too many people gathering in one area at the same time.

OTHER FAQ’S

CAN I ORDER PRINTS
FROM YOU?

(Updated 5/18/2020). You can still order, and if you choose to support us this way - thank you, and we love you!  The professional print labs we normally use in several states and other countries are currently all printing.  This means albums, canvas and other items can all be ordered from us, through your Amore online gallery. You are also welcome to call or email Kelly at 763.639.6779 or Kelly@amoreluxstudios.com.

Production times for prints might be delayed.  This is because all of our print labs are also making protective face masks for essential workers.

ARE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS
ALLOWED
DURING MINNESOTA’S
STAY AT HOME ORDER?

We are keeping up-to-date on the latest guidance from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).  Their guidance is that photographers aren’t essential businesses and therefore aren’t exempt from executive orders in Minnesota.

This means that as long as a Stay-At-Home order is in place photography sessions of any kind (including front porch sessions) can’t happen.  We are complying with this guidance because your safety is extremely important to me. As of today, May 18th, 2020 we are allowed to photograph outdoor sessions only, with no more than two people, and as the state opens up more and more restrictions will be lifted.

As small business owners, we are determined to keep going because photography is our life-blood and the way we feed our families. With over 30 years combined experience, this is definitely a FIRST for us; restrictive shooting laws, so we are all in a learning curve as we “watch and wait” to see what happens next.

We are so grateful for everything you’re doing to support us right now.

You have our promise to be your advocate and to do what’s best for you, so please keep in touch and let us know how you’re doing.
